Lance smiled and turned with Jocelyn as she circled around him slightly, like a graceful predator. A deep chuckle floated from Lance's throat as he closed his eyes and removed his glasses, using his other hand to slightly massage the bridge of his nose. "M'lady the way you speak of this man it sounds more like your under his control rather than actually being an associate." Lance's eyes remained closed as he ran his hand once through his hair and replaced his sunglasses.
"The last thing our kind needs is another Volturi, and that's what your making this sound as. Control is torture m'lady. Our kind were meant to roam free as we wish, unbound from the shackles that hold humanity, and I have no desire to live any other way." He than raised his gaze to meet hers, though his sharp gaze was negated by the reflective surface of the sunglasses.

A nearly silent rumble came up from her throat. She muffled the growl and shot him a look of disgust. She cursed herself as she regained her ladylike composure and lifted her chin, her face now as relaxed as it had been before. Who was he to judge anyway. She could leave at any time, she had done it before and she could do it again.
"Really Lance. You of all people should know I am not one to be controlled." She said slightly teasingly but still quite serious. "all I am saying is if you ever wanted to meet him... just make an acquaintance, I could get you a meeting. He would love to meet any old friend of mine, such as yourself." She said with a warm smile. "You know I would love to see more of you. I miss our dinners on the Seine in Paris." She said with a devilish grin.

Lance's expression tightened as he heard a growl come from Jocelyn, where others might not have heard it to him it was clear as day. He didn't relax until she fixed her composure, he knew she hated showing her animalistic nature. "I was not suggesting that an independent woman such as yourself can be controlled. Just that this man sounds more like the controlling type. I would never question your free spirit my dear." He tilted his head forward slightly, his entrancing gaze threatening to go over the rim of his glasses.
"I doubt being acquainted with anyone could come near being acquainted with you." A sly grin formed on his lips. "I miss those nights as well Jocelyn, but I'm only ever a phone call away, spending more time with you would defiantly make immortality that much more interesting." His left eyebrow lifted in a flirtatious manner.

She smiled and made her 'if I could blush I would be' face looking down at her feet, her stark white teeth briefly peeking out of her full red lips. She took a few more steps around him until she was over his shoulder. "Then you must come spend and evening with us at the chateau dear Lance." She said "I promise you would not regret it." she continued breathly, now closer to his ear.
{{Sorry so short. Working on something but wanted to sneak a post in.}}

Lance smiled to himself as Jocelyn offered for him to spend an evening with her and Ancel. He wished he could just spend the evening with just her, and avoid authority like he would any other night. He knew he could easily accomplish this by removing his glasses and looking Jocelyn in the eye but he didn't want to use his special abilities on an old friend, he'd never dream of it. He turned once more to look Jocelyn in the eye, well through his sunglasses anyways.
"How about a compromise?" He asked with a sly tone in his musical voice, "Tonight we spend time just the two of us, old friends reminiscing old times. Then tomorrow you take me to meet Ancel. Does that seem fair?" A light chuckle accented his voice as he spoke.

She smiled through pursed lips. She didn't like to compromise but she was a lady and therefore was taught to be accommodating. "Fair is fair." She said with a nod. She walked back to the place she had put down her handbag and picked it up turning around gracefully to face him again. "Then what, sir, would you like to do tonight?" She said with a smiled and raise of a thin eyebrow. "The night is still relatively young after all."
