The youngest of the Cullen clan had to cover her mouth again to keep from laughing. She loved Jacob, but he sounded so silly when he tried to talk human when he was i wolf form. It reminded her of a show she watched on Animal Planet where a woman taught her dog to say 'I love you'. It was silly, sounded kinda like it, but over all it was just adorable.
Watching in a mix of awe and horror as Jacob took down one of the lions, she realized she had to do her part as well. She never thought herself as a killer, or a hunter. In fact she enjoyed her food that Esme made, the meals laced with just a little bit of blood to keep her strong. But she liked to hunt with Jacob, and when they were tearing something apart, it was easy to distract herself from thinking about just what he thought of her.
Leaping at the smallest lion of the group, Nessie wrapped her arms around its neck and quickly sunk her sharp teeth into the thick fur. She hated this part, the moutful of fur. The lion put up a good fight, dragging her a bit before she could pin it down. Spitting to the side, she bit her lower lip to keep from screaming. She was scared, she knew she could do this, but she didnt really enjoy killing.

Both the lions lay on the ground, dead. He moved towards Nessie. If that cat didn't go down soon, he'd jump in. 'Maybe she wasn't ready. I shouldn't have pushed this on her'.
Jacob readied to spring, knowing that he would have to be very careful to to harm her in the process. He growled at the cat, hoping to draw its attention enough to make it easier for her.

Determined not to let her father, or Jacob down she closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around its neck. Whispering 'sorry' before she pulled, she twisted its neck before she heard the snap of its death. She never liked killing, but Jacob had told her that they were over populated, and if it kept hikers safe, then she was just 'alright' with it.
The slight itch in the back of her throat tickeled, watching as blood trickled down from its mouth. Biting her lower lip, Nessie fidigted as she crawled off the lion and sat down next to Jacob, rubbing her fingers through his fur, pushing her thoughts to him. 'I dont like doing that...'

Jacob's eyes widened when she pressed her thoughts to him. He felt guilty for bringing her hunting, knowing she wasn't ready for this. He leaned over and nuzzled her chin with his snout. "Iiii'mmm soorrrry Nesssieee" He nuzzled her and leaned close.

"You sound silly like that..." She managed to smile, patting his chest before she leaned forward twords her smaller lion. "Dont watch..I hate it when you watch me eat..I feel like a boogey man then.." Nessie rolled her sleeves up from her arms, trying to find the softest spot to nibble and then drink her fill.

Jacob ripped into one and started devouring the meat from its body. Normal human food was great, but in his wolf form there was nothing like a fresh kill. Hot, fresh, bloody red meat. He kept his back to Nessied, better she didn't see what he was doing.
When he was done he shifted back to his human form and and pulled his shorts on. From the pocket he pulled a skinning knife and began cutting away the pelt. He sang a low song, one that hunters from his tribe sang to honor the animals they killed.

When Nessie had her full, her cheeks were flushed a brilliant red as she skittered back from her kill. It looked so sad. This would be the last time she would hunt for a while. She knew that she could take one down, it would make her father proud, and that was enough for her. Wiping her mouth with her sleeves, she kept her back to Jacob as he skilled one of the lions, just happily listening to the song he was singing.
"What do you want to do now..?"

Jacob rolled up the skins he had collected and tucked them easily under one arm. "Well, I thought maybe we'd just go for a walk. Lots to explore, at a nice relaxed pace." He wiped her cheek and smiled. "You were very brave Nessie, I'm proud."
He was looking forward to getting these pelts to his dad. He was going to have them cured and made into something for Nessie; a traditional native dress. She'd look great in it, he was sure.

She nodded, pulling her hat back forward and adjusting the brim of it. Her hand shot out and seeked Jacobs own, squeezing it with a small smile. The blood flowing through her helped her feel energized and a bit hyper. It was like her own form of a sugar rush, and it was rather enjoyable.
Lacing her fingers with his, she swung her arm back and forth as they moved away from the murder site and walked through the woods. "Tell me about the woods, and the plants and things. I want to learn more and your a good teacher..."

And so they walked, looking at various plants and animal tracks. Jacob helped her to identify dozens of trees, several edible and medicinal plants.
They came out of the woods to a perfect waterfall and a large pool of clear water the spilled into another waterfall. They could see from the cliff face a great distance, almost to the strait that seperated the northen border of Washington state and Canada.

Nessie tried her best to remember everything that Jacob was pointing out and telling her. She wasnt certain if the plants that had medicinal properties would help her, seeing she almost never got ill, but it was still nice to remember when she had to go to school and be 'normal'. Pausing for a moment, the youngest Cullen wondered just what Jacobs thoughts were on her going to public school. How could he stand to be away from her?
She'd ask her dad to maybe reach in and see just what he thought. It was wrong, but Jacob never gave her the answers she wanted. Not waiting for him, Nessie balanced on one foot as she started to remove her sneakers, squishing her toes on the leafy ground before moving down to the waters edge.

Jacob sat down and stuck his feet in the water's edge. It was nice to let them cool off in the water. He watched Nessie paly in the water. "Great spot isn't it?"
He lay back on the sun warmed rocks and took a few slow, deep breaths. "So tell me, you excited about attending highschool where your mom and dad went?"

"Not really.." She sighed, her jeans rolled up to her knees as she wadded around in the cold water, looking at the shiny rocks and small fish within the small waves. "I have to go under a fake name, fake adress, everything...so I'm going to feel like a fake person. Not like I could ever be what I really am. I dont know how daddy and auntie and uncles did it at all. Pretending all the time, having to be what they are not...it sucks. But..I understand why.."
Lifting her arms, she peeled away her sweatshirt and threw it to the shore. Dressed now in a pink tank top and rolled jeans, she smiled and dove her arms into the water, trying to catch one of the small fishes.

"You know...I get that. I really do. You could always go to school on the reservation, like I did. They are used to unusual cases. Jacob bent forward so he could watch her try to catch a fish.
"An that means that I could be close to you all day. It's going to be tough not being there. But you know I will come running if you need me. And I can pick you up after school."

Her lips curved into a soft pout as the tiny fish wiggled free from her hands, slipping into deeper water. She didnt know what she would do with the fish if she caught it, but she just wanted to catch one. She remembered a trip to the aquarium that her parents took her on when she was younger, how she was able to feel the starfish and the hermit crabs, and even pet a fish. Maybe she just wanted to remember a time where she didnt have so much going on.
"I didnt even think of that...but I'm sure my parents wont be up for it. Its a good idea though...no one would know me, no one would really care...it would be more laid back then Forks High..." The idea gave her a small spring of hope, but she was sure that none of her family would go for it. "I dont want to be far away from you Jacob...its not fun.."
