Zak nodded at the bigger wolves offer at diplomacy. He could be civil, but that didn't ease his always ready mind at all. He listened to him introduce them. My name is Zakel, this is my omega Duncan. His head leaned slightly to the side to indicate the white wolf standing beside him, contrasting against Zak's onyx black fur. His yellow eyes scanned over the two wolves then to the forest behind them, wondering as to whether or not there were other with them.
We don't seek trouble, we just came across an unfamiliar scent the crossed into our territory. That one I believe. His head nodded in the direction of the small wolf he addressed as Leah. Then next thing we knew she approached us. I come not seeking a fight, I'm just concerned. I have a wife near by and don't like the idea of having unstable shifters in the area of her.
[[okay i feel like an idiot, i just realized i started posting on the second page. now things make sense. Forgive me if i get some things wrong]]

'Unstable? Who us?' He gave Leah a look and there was almost a mental laugh. Jacob relaxed his posture and lowered to his haunched, nodding to them to all do the same.
'We aren't that far from the Reservation. What are you claiming as yours?' They were surely native american, maybe a diffrent nation? How could they not know who they were?

Zak paused for a moment before relaxing his posture. Nudging slightly into Duncan to signal for him to do the same. I like to try and keep a tight hold on the area around my home, I'm a bit protective of my imprint. Not so fond of her being around shifters that I can't calm down with just telling them too. He flashed a few thoughts over the mental link to show Jacob how protective he was of Corliss. Never letting her out of arms reach when his pack was around and keeping close to her even on patrol.
I mean no insult He addressed to the shewolf standing next to Jacob, I just know how unstable our kind can be, no matter how long they've been shifting.

Leah’s body stayed tense until the moment Jacob arrived at her side. She her brother, who was coming. ‘Jake… what if he gets hurt…’ she asked, her body easing up. When Jacob gave her the signal, she had no choice but to stand up straight. Her ears stayed flat but her mouth had closed over the white teeth that had been bared seconds ago.
The grey wolf listened through her Alpha’s thoughts to the conversation. Her long muzzle turned into a wolfy grin as the other Alpha said about unstable. Unstable? Haha! ‘Ha, my instability is in my human form, thank you very much.’

'It is understandable. Since it is our emotions that control our shapeshifting, we have to learn to keep a control over them.' Jacob turned to Leah, focusing his mind so that only she and Seth could hear him, 'Seth will be ok. We are fine Seth, slow down as you get here and walk in casually. These guys aren't a threat right now, but they are jumpy.'
He turned and studied the two wolves.

Then you understand my worry, surely someone in your pack has imprinted, see how precious they are to one of our kind. He watched Jacob turned to Leah as if to say something to her, probably speaking in their pack mind. Be weary Duncan, I think there's more coming. I wish we had Rell here. He said to his friend privately. He wasn't one that enjoyed fighting but he hated having the odds against him even more.
He was sure he could hold off the wolves just long enough to give Duncan a chance to reach the others. That is if things go sour.

Seth let out a huff out loud. Leah was always a bit too protective of him. "Breathe, Leah." He followed his Alpha's orders, reluctantly, slowing his pace. "Aye, Aye." he replied through his mind. He got there fairly fast, even though he was ordered to slow up. The tall, gangly and tan wolf appeared alongside Jacob and Leah.

Duncan huffed a sigh, before fixing his posture and letting his large tounge slide between his jaws, flickering it and yawning. All signs of submission. He had no urge within him to fight. Hell he just wanted to run before the other scent smacked him in the face like a brick wall. So much for his afternoon. 'I'm not worried big dog...you've got this.' Duncan smiled, lowering his head and placing his muzzle beneth Zaks for a moment.

'We all have family that we want to protect, Zakel. I can offer you, your pack, and those bound to it protection within my pack.' It seemed the fair thing to do, offer to let them join the pack.
He turned to Leah, hoping that she would agree with him that uniting the two packs would prevent war and territoral fueding. It was possible that he could use his alpha voice, but that wasn't his way of doing things.

Zak's ears fell back on his head as the other Alpha wolf offered them a place in his pack. It was a very generous offer but at the same time Zak was mildly insulted. He shook his head back and fourth in thought and his ears popped back up, his postured stiffened straight and his head lifted high. I'm going to have to respectfully decline your offer, Jacob. We have a connection in my pack, we run as a family and always will. Our connection is beyond one we could ever form with others. Thank you, but no. His voice ran with majesty and authority as he spoke. Like a true Alpha wolf.

Leah was getting bored. She was glad that this pack didn’t want to join theirs. Although it would’ve been Jake’s decision, Leah didn’t want two packs united. The small amount of wolves in Jacob’s pack was enough. Letting out a yawn, Leah turned around and rested her head on Seth’s for a moment, then walked back to Jacob.
‘Well I don’t want them going near Maya’s house. Just in case, ya know?’ If Leah had been human, and evil grin would’ve spread across her lips. Now she would know whether Duncan had imprinted on Leah’s friend or not.

'Agreed' Jacob had offered them to join, but it was intended to show a solidarity among them, trying to keep things civil. He nodded to Leah. There would need to be ground rules.
'It is not necessary that we be one pack, but we need to come to an understanding. We have family here, and friends, and we need to insure their safety. There are too few of us to protect the tribe alone, so perhaps an alliance?'

Ducans moss colored eyes flickered over to Zak at the mentioning of a Alliance. He wasnt sure what that would mean, and he also didnt know what he thought of this other group. But he was in no shape or form the alpha, so he had little say in the matter.
