Tanya walked noiselessly through the forest of Forks. She could smell the recent trails her "extended family" had left from hunting that day. She mostly could smell the wolf boy the Cullens kept around-Jacob-and Edward and Bella's daughter Renesmee. Tanya remembered the first time she'd become acquainted with the little girl, how she'd enchanted her unconditionally. She'd pledged her alligence, her witness, and her life. Now, Tanya didn't move with any purpose. She was visiting her old friends, Carlisle and his coven. She had news of another immortal child close to her home in Denali, and thought that the Cullens may want to hear of it. She wasn't in any hurry though to tell them, so she dilly dallied in the forest and the trees she so rarely saw in the snow cap mountains of Alaska.
Tanya came in contact with the CUllen house, alight and anctive. She could see that there were people inside, but she wasn't rude to just invite herself in. Tanya sat silently and stoically on the front porch steps. Her alabaster skin glowing faintly from the porch light-it was night time-and her strawberry blond curls quivered. She looked lovingly at the stars that never changed, she could see them all, and remembered that they were different in Alaska. She waited silently, and thoughtfully, staring at the sky, never moving, for someone to find her...or something in the case of a werewolf.

Lance had been through forks on a few occasions, having lived almost primarily in Port Angeles made it hard to not go through Forks now and again, and many time he had come into contact with the scent of vampires mixed with werewolf but he had never bothered to investigate. Today was a different day however, he decided to test his skills as a tracker and locate the vampires den then possibly make a friend or two. He was running trough to woods, a frilly white dress shirt beated in resistance to the wind, as did the loose jeans he wore. The sunglasses that sat high above his nose however didn't budge. The scents lingered throughout the town and came in many different variances, but they all seemed to lead to different directions.
Today, however, he came across a slightly fresh one going through the woods that led only to one place, a large mansion located deep in the woods, away from the rest of the town. Lance stepped through the treeline, in clear view of the front porch, and saw a female vampire sitting on the front porch. With his sensitive senses he was able to see every detail of her from where he stood, her auburn eyes, her strawberry blond hair, even her scent which confirmed she was the one he had tracked. Lance took in a unnecessary breath and walked towards the mansion.

Tanya bolted upright from her sitting position on the porch at the sound of another person. She could see the man coming toward her, his shirt was white and dressy and his jeans weren’t fitted like the rest of the men she saw usually, which was a good change. Overall he was a rather attractive man. Tanya smiled coyly at him as he took a step toward the mansion. She put her hand on her hip and wondered how she looked. Fabulous, duh. She was wearing a loose, oversized pink shirt. It was cut down the shoulder and tied 80s style. It said “He who dies with the best tan, wins.” A little joke since she couldn’t die and she would never have a tan. Apart from that she wore black leggings and fashionable ski boots. She had the wardrobe of someone who lives in Alaska, and she had to if she wanted to go undetected. “Hello sir,” she said with a slinky smile. She looked at him. “What are you doing here?”

Lance pressed his sunglasses up against his eyes further as he approached the woman, a precaution so that he would not use his powers on her by accident. He was across the clearing that was between the house and the forest briefly, stopping several feet from the bottom step of the porch.
"Good afternoon madam," He said with a slight bow in his form and a sly grin on his lips. "Please forgive my intrusion I was just investigating a scent I had passed in town." He ran his hand across a slight batch of hair that hung in his face and pulled it behind his ear.
"Oh how rude of me, my name is Lance Rice, it is a pleasure to meet you Miss...?" He held out his hand in a greeting fashion.

Tanya smiled and curtsied. She took Mr. Rice's hand and smiled. "Denali, Tanya. Pleased to meet you as well. On a regular basis, your intrustion would not bother me, but this is not my home.” She smiled and stepped down from the porch to stand very close to him.

Lance smiled and took Tanya's hand and kissed the back of it briefly, an social courtesy that had been implanted in his mind ages ago. "It is a pleasure to meet you Ms. Denali." He gently released her hand and stood straight, a small smile formed on his face. "Well I apologize for bothering you than. I had assumed you lived her."

Tanya grinned. Something about this man was different. Edward was the only other vampire she had evern shown preference, but this one was...endearing in a way. He was classy but obviouslly he wasn't an innocent. Of course none of her kind were. "Mr. Rice, this is the home of my distant...counsins. I suppose it's time I visited them, however they seem preoccupied." Tanya shot a glance at the house that looked empty. She knew they were inside, or she thought they were inside. "Perhaps there is something else I can do until I wait for their time to be better spent in my company?" she hinted.

Lance smiled at Tanya then averted his eyes towards the night sky, the layer of clouds were glowing faintly from the moonlight behind the veil. "Well Ms Denali, would you care to take a walk with me on this fine evening?" He gestured his pale hands towards the woods where he had just come from. Sure it was an odd thing for a new person to ask her to go on a walk in the middle of the night but it was the same as daytime to them. He flashed a charming pearly white smile at the female vampire. "I promise I won't bite..."

Tanya nodded and mock curtsied. "Lead the way Mr. Rice," she replied charmingly. She was a lady of course, raised to be courted by gentlemen...the times had changed of course and Tanya usually went willingly. She was bored tonight and felt as if she needed a little show. Perhaps the charade would provide her amusement.
