"She doesn't want to go, you guys don't want her to go,....I'm not crazy about it either. So is it settled then?
He breathed a mental sigh of relief and was back to smiling. 'Who let the dogs out? WHO? WHO?' He wasn't that the thought of her being around other guys bothered him, but if one of them took a real interest in her...and why wouldn't they?
"You know, though, she should do something though. Hanging around us all the time isn't going to help her in devloping, ah, socially, as someone her appeared age should. She could go to the Reservation school for a year.

Edward kept Bella in his arms looking at Jacob with a neutral grin as always. "I had a feeling Reneesme was not ready herself yet. I do not think she should attend high school just yet. She is not ready for it and honestly neither am I." He said looking down at Bella tightening his grip around her. Edward had thought about this for quite sometime now, and if Bella agreed with him then Reneesme would not be attending school just yet. If Edward has his way, she wont attend until she was mentally old enough either. That might be going too far though. That was something Edward was not yet sure of.
Edward was pretty sure he knew why Jacob did not Reneesme to attend high school either. The same reason why Edward was not yet willing to let her go yet either. They guys would pounce on her like a new toy and Edward was not yet sure if he could restrain himself if he heard any inappropriate thoughts about his daughter from an adolescent teenage boy. Edward's head snapped when Jacob suggested La Push high. "Thats a definite NO Jacob. Thats asking too much." He said with an annoyed expression. He hoped Bella felt the same way, but if not, then he would listen to her pleading.

Bella listened calmly, blankly at Jacob's suggestion and Edwards opinion. Her reaffirmed her thoughts almost exactly. She was quietly relieved. For some reason she felt alone in her thoughts. It was nice to hear Edward echoing them, and even Jacob wasn't ready. She signed and tightened her grip on Edward's arms affectionately.
Jacob mentioned the reservation school. She shook her head once. "A vampire going to the reservation school? Really Jake. You can't be serious." She tried to imagine. All that would need to happen is for one young man to start phasing and loose control the minute he got a whiff of Nessie. At least at Forks they would know she was the only super natural creature.

"Yeah, I suppose that wouldn't work. My thought was nobody would question her there, since they know she was...er...like my family." And there it was, really simple. The kids around the reservation didn't know why exactly it was, but they knew who to turn to if there was something strange going on. Jacob and the other pack members inspired a certain amount of awe and legendary status. Jacob didn't bother blocking Edward from reading that.

Edward smiled when Bella verbally agreed with him. He listened closely to Jacob's words and thoughts. Jacob put up little explanation for his proposal. Edward did not like the idea of his only child being surrounded by all those puppies that could snap at any second. Edward did not want to have to kill any puppies who tried to hurt his daughter. Edward remained silent for a moment then looked down at Bella. "I understand that your intentions were well placed in trying to put her in the La Push high school Jacob, but the answer is no." He said sternly like a father should. He kissed Bella softly on the cheek and lightly tightened his grip around her waist.
Edward was not upset about Jacob or his annoying thoughts, he just wanted to protect his daughter, who was still so young. Just because she looked old enough, did not mean she was old enough. Jacob had to understand and respect that. If he could not, then Edward feared what he may have to do to make Jacob see his way and not his own.

Bella felt a tingle down her spine as her husband kissed her cheek and squeezed her. Even after all these years he could still dazzle her. She felt so secure in his arms. And the feeling of them as a unit, Rennesmee's parents, made her feel even stronger.
She looked at Jake. She hoped he would not think they were ganging up on him. But they were her parents after all and they had the ultimate say. He tried to justify her going to the reservation school. "Besides Jake, if she goes there as your "family", what happens when..." She stopped and looked up at Edwards face "...IF it turns into something more? I don't see how that could work." She shook her head a little and looked at him sadly. She didn't want to hurt him, she knew he only wanted the best for her. But they couldn't be selfish. She we need to go (when she was ready) to the place she was safest. And in Bella's mind that was Fork's high school.

"I didn't really mean to pass her off as my sister..." He started to say more but he decided to leave it off there. No sense in dragging the dead thing around.
He decided to chomp down on a cookie isntead. It was still hot and the choclate was gooey. He gave out groan of enjoyment, slighty exagerated for the benfit of the others in the room. "Who knew you could actually cook Bells?" he said, spilling crumbs. He caught them and dropped them back into his mouth.

Edward was growing impatient with Jacob but for Bella's sake and for their daughter's he let it go. He did not know what Jacob meant by his words but he did not like it. He was relieved when Jacob changed the subject. Now he did not have to get upset and possibly loud with Jacob. He reluctantly loosed his grip on Bella's waist and moved over to the window looking out into the tree line. He did not turn back around when he spoke his next words quietly, only loud enough for a vampire to hear. "I"m still not fully comfortable with our daughter ending up with a puppy Bells. Maybe it's just that I'm her father, but I feel Jacob has more of an agenda for Renessme then he says out loud." So quietly, so soft, that Bella herself probably had a little trouble hearing.

Bella smiled and shook her head. "Really Jake? That surprises you? I WAS a human for 19 years. I did eat human food." She pointed out as Edward released her and moved to the window. She watched him put his face by it. The sun was dissappearing behind the tress at this point and his skin glittered ever so slightly. She saw hi lips move and listened intently. She didn't catch every word, but she got the message. She went to his side put a hand on his wide chest and kissed his cheek lightly. Let it go for now Edward was said through her gesture.
She went to the sink and started putting cookie trays and bowls in the basin of soapy water. She picked up and bowl and started scrubbing the wet sticky dough off the inside. Her and Edward would have to talk later. She was dreading it.

Jacob laughed and coughed a little, trying to not laugh too loud. "Bella, I have eaten your cooking before. I know you can...I have mostly lived off it for the last few years. It was a joke."
He was careful to focus on a "white noise" sound, like the hum of a humidifier. Keeping Edward out of his head was both fun and a form of self defense.

Edward just nodded to Bella to show that he understood and would not think about it at the moment. Edward ignored the whole "Bella's cooking" conversation. Edward knew this was just one of Jacob's ways of getting past Edward's mind reading ability. That alone though, made Edward wonder just what was inside his thoughts that he was trying to hide. Jacob hiding something was not a good thing, especially when he had gone alone somewhere with his daughter. The thought of that made Edward want to tear Jacob limb from limb.
He restrained himself for His wife and daughter's sake though. Jacob would have to learn that if he wants to be apart of this family, there are no secrets to keep. Nothing under the rug or so to speak that will build up and potientially separate the family. Edward knew that sooner or later Jacob would slip up and he would get a glimpse into his mind and see just what it was he was hiding.

Bella shrugged as she finished cleaning up the cookie sheets, all the cookies now cooling on a tray by the open window. She didn't always pick up on sarcasm right away but lately she had been a little less perceptive, strange seeing as her physical senses were sharper than ever. Perhaps it was stress.
She sensed her Edward was not at ease. She picked up on the slight tension in his jaw and hands as he stood by the window. She looked at him and furrowed her brow ever so slightly wishing she knew what he was thinking. Hopefully she could get it out of his later. Now that she thought about it, Jake seemed distracted as well, like his head was elsewhere ever since Edward got back. He was hiding something. She always knew when Jake was hiding something from her. She went to the counter and started wiping down the smooth cool marble. "How was hunting Jake?" She asked casually praying he was not hiding something about their daughter.

"Dude! She was amazing! She took down a mountain lion on her own." Jacob was beaming. She had done an amazing job. He started to reach for another cookie, but thought he'd wait till Nessie got home so they could eat together.
Jacob changed his look again, realizing he needed to tell them, "Reneesme doesn't...like hunting though. She told me, she does it, but she hates it. I think maybe she fills sorry for the animals."
He decided to focus his attention elsewhere I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand walkin through the streets of Soho in the rain. He was lookin for the place called Lee Ho Fooks, gonna get a big dish of beef chow mein. Aaahoo, werewolves of London!

Edward turned around facing Edward just glancing into his mind as Bella questioned him about the hunting trip. He said his daughter had taken down a mountain lion all by herself? Wow, she was just like her old man. Jacob went on with saying his daughter did not like hunting. Edward quirked an eyebrow as he listened. Jacob's thoughts suddenly went elsewhere. Edward had enough of that for now. He stood on both feet straight up and walked right in front of Jacob.
"Alright, thats it DOG!" Edward started angrily. "What are you hiding? Every time the subject goes to Renesmee you try to force me out of your thoughts. Now what are you hiding from me dog? You better tell me the truth!" He continued angrily almost ripping right through Jacob is he had his hands on him.

Jacob grabbed Edwards hands at the wrists and fixed him with a silly grin, but his eyes didn't smile. He was so serious in his eyes he was sure that he could have killed him just by looking.
"Take your hands off me or I will take your hands off of you." Anger tended to make him stronger. He bent Edward's hands at the wrist to get them off.
