When Leah opened her eyes, she saw Jerith running towards her. How had she gotten on the floor again? All she could think about and remember was Jerith, everything about him. But she didn’t want this. She didn’t want this imprint. No, no, no. She pushed herself up and looked at the approaching man.
“No! No, stay away from me!” She screamed, grasping the door to support her and then she pushed off and started running away. The nearest place she could get to was the tower. She started climbing up, still screaming at Jerith to stay away.
{KInda weird… I hope it’s okay}

Jerith watched, confused, as Leah took off up the stairs in to the top of the fire tower. The pace she was keeping was impressive. Even as many times as he had run the stairs from bottom to top it took at least six minutes to climb the ten flights, and that was only if he wasn't carrying any extra weight and he wasn't tired.
She was already reaching the top and disappearing inside. "Sure, make yourself at home," he muttered to himself, trying to shake off whatever it was that had happened when he had looked at her. "Well, what are we waiting for...an invitation?" he laughed and helped Maya grab the precious fry bread from the jeep.
---------------------(Since Leah is getting there ahead of us)
Inside the tower was neat and clean. The work table was set up with sample dishes and a couple of jars with random bugs or small reptiles, a microscope, and several hair samples and plaster casts of large animal tracks.
The door to the bedroom was open. The bed was neat, covered in a thick woven blanket that featured a pair of wolves laying together on a rocky outcropping, the forest and the moon behind them.

Maya stood up and backed away and Leah collected herself and ran up the stairs to the top of the tower. This was getting to weird. What had gotten into the people on the reservation since Maya left? She looked at her cousin, disturbed and puzzled. He didn't seem as puzzled as she was, most likely because she had not had the opportunity to tell him about Duncan yet. Was it something about the Song family? She made a point to remember to ask him if he's seen anything like this happen before.
He indicated to follow Leah up the stairs. Maya shrugged and grabbed a parcel of fresh bread from the passenger seat. Before staring up the stairs she gave a sharp whistle to call Darcey. He came to the edge of the stairs but wouldn't go up. So she shot him a 'Stay in the are look' and started to climb the ten flights at a reasonable but swift pace.

As Leah entered the hut thing at the top of the tower, she fell to her knees and hit the floor, extremely hard. What the hell was this stupid imprinting stuff!? Now she knew how Sam had felt, nothing else mattered. All Leah wanted was Jerith. She wanted him. But she hadn’t even had a conversation with him! How could this be, imprinting on some random person you never met!?
“This is imprinting?!” She muttered, punching the ground again.
{Sorry for short}

Jerith had reached the halfway point to the top, he paused to look out across the treetops. "Does this happpen often?" He made a joke to cover the fact that he was concerned. He had never seen anyone act like that, and he knew that no one could climb the tower that fast unless they were running from something that really scared them.

Maya stopped too and looked up through the steel mesh stairs toward the watch house at the top. "Honestly? You'd be surprised. This is like total Deja Vu Cuz." She said looking worried. This was so strange. Both Leah and Duncan were acting so odd. On top of that there was like a shadow hanging over the reservation, like there was some big dark secret Maya wasn't in on. If she hadn;t left would she be in this situation?

Breathing slowly, Leah stood up and calmed herself down. Now she was going to do some research on this guy while she had time. She looked around the room. Jerith Song was a nature guy, a scientist type person so it seemed by what he had on the work table. Leah walked over and smiled. That was so damned cute. She turned and walked through into the bedroom.
Jerith was a neat guy, thank God. At least Leah hadn’t imprinted on a total sloth. She looked at the bed and couldn’t help resting her hand on the cover. It was wolves… very interesting. Quite a coincidence actually. Leah breathed in his scent and shuddered in happiness. It was such a delicious smell. Finally, she knew that she was head over heels for someone.
With a bit of a clearer idea on Jerith Song, Leah stepped back into the main room and breathed in another deep breath of the man’s scent. She shuddered and sighed. Then, feeling the state of her hair, Leah quickly pushed it down to make it look neater. She looked down at her checkered shirt and undid another button which showed off a lot of her cleavage. Next she played with her bra a bit and leant against the work top.
Suddenly, Leah Clearwater was okay on imprinting on this guy. But what would he think of her now?

The top of the tower was a place above everything else. You could see miles and miles, even on a cloudy day. On a clear night you could make out the lights of Seattle in the distance. There were a couple chairs and a pair of binoculars out on the porch. By the door was a hand painted sign:"From a distance, the world looks blue and green...you watch for the red"
Jerith took a moment to breath in deeply. The smell of the trees and the distant ocean was there, but something else was on the breeze now, wonderfully femmine scent. "It isn't much, but the view out here is fantastic." He stepped inside, having to duck since the door frame was barely six feet. The sight of Leah leaning on the worktable made him blink a few times. 'The view in here isn't bad either. "Ah..hm...you alright there Leah?"

As Jerith walked through the door of the watchtower, Leah’s breath was taken away. The scent of the young man was bewildering, it ensnared her senses and she suddenly felt like a drunken idiot. She let out a grin and nodded. “I am now.” She said, without thinking. Then Leah giggled and covered her mouth with her hands.
“Leah Clearwater… as you probably know.” She said, walking towards the man, still grinning like an idiot and swaggering slightly. She held out her hand to shake with his but tripped on… well nothing and came into contact with Jerith. Her skin was probably burning his, but she flushed red and grasped the man’s shoulders in case she fell down again.

Jerith caught her when she fell into him. She felt warm against his skin, near hot. "Leah..you're hot." he held her for a moment, lost in her eyes. He realized what he said and helped her to stand back up, "I mean you must be hot..and tired. After running up the stairs like that." He took her by the hand and lead her over to an adult size green beanbag chair. "Let me get you some water."
He quickly moved over to the fridge and pulled out the pitcher of filtered water and poured it into a clean glass. Everything about her seemed to draw him in. No woman had ever done this to him. He wretched control of his thoughts. M..Maya, you want some water?

Leah giggled and allowed herself to be led onto a beanbag. She sat in it and wriggled around a little before getting very comfortable. She brushed her hand through her hair and pulled her shirt straight. Then she giggled again.
“Oh, I’m fine, don’t worry.” She responded, smiling at Jerith, still looking like a drunken idiot.

Maya reached the top of the stairs and her mouth nearly fell open as she watched an almost entirely different girl than she had met earlier that week flirt incessantly with her cousin. She stood in the doorway and watched as Leah "tripped" into Jerith's arms. What had gotten into Leah? She was totally normal less than 15 minutes ago and now it was like she was all over him. She frowned and almost completely missed when Jerith offered her some water too.
"I'm fine." She said flatly looking from him and back to Leah. Jerith was acting bizarre too. He couldn't take his eyes off her. It was like Maya wasn't even there.

Jerith drank the water himself, then drank more. "I'll be back in a minute." He went to the bathroom and turned on the small battery powered light. Jerith began to wash his face with water from the pump. The icey cold was enough to at least snap him out of his strange fixation on Leah.
What was the matter with him, suddenly falling all over some girl he had just met? That wasn't like him. He sat on the floor wondering what it was that came over him.

When Jerith left, Leah turned to Maya. Her smile turned into a grin. “You didn’t tell me your cousin was so… your cousin…” Leah giggled and looked down to her shirt. She squealed and pushed the button through to close it up a bit, not realising how revealing it actually was. She giggled and looked back at Maya.
“Sorry.. are you mad?” Now that Jerith was gone, although his scent was still there and practically killing her nose, Leah could think straight. Maya seemed mad and it was probably Leah’s fault. When Sam had imprinted on Emily, she’d been so pissed off.

Maya was shocked when Leah came right out and made a remark about her cousin with a sly grin on her face. She gaped at her and didn't say anything, completely puzzled by everything happening around her. She opened her mouth to say something and she closed it again shaking her head.
Was she mad? A little, but not necessarily with Leah. She didn't even seem to be in her right mind. Same with Jerith. She had been so happy at the possibility of having her cousin around and possibly a friend in Leah. And now it seemed that was over. She backed up and leaned against the railing and crossed her arms. "No, I'm not mad." She said quietly looking over her shoulder out over the landscape.
