Esme found Carlisle walking away from an elevator. He had the scent of another vampire with him, all over him. She smelled it instantly, and she wasn't worried at all that he'd gone somewhere, but who he'd gone to see. Esme knew information about the man, Anchel, and had to tell her husband. Her entire family could be in danger, she wasn't entirely sure what it was, but she was sure it was there. Lately, she'd been experiencing constant bouts of foreboding danger. She'd been feeling like there was something stirring, and it was extremely terrible and fatal. "Carlisle," Esme said quietly and purposefully as she walked up to him. She was being quiet to make sure they were not in earshot of another vampire, or more pointedly, Anchel. She cleared her throat. "Carlisle, dear, I have news."

Carlisle walked out of the office and into the main lobby of Schray Enterprises to find Esme. He had gone into the meeting alone, as Ancel had requested. He was a little surprised to find Esme here, but with her recent feelings of danger, he was not surprised. She had been so worried lately, as while he was approaching all situations with caution these days and having Alice keep a close "eye" on everyone, he was doing his best to remain calm and keep his family from panicking.
He wound an arm around Esme's waist and led her out of the building onto the cloudy Seattle streets that were bustling with people leaving work. No one out here would have any idea what they were talking about. They were all on the cells or had head phones on or were just too absorbed in their own thoughts to care. "What news do you have my love?" He asked kissing her forehead softly as they walked.

Esme smiled weakly. "I think we should go to the car. Or somewhere else," she said quietly. She didn't know how dangerous her knowledge could be.

The crowd of people parted around them as they walked. The human's subconsciously moved out of their way without even realizing they were doing it or why and without breaking their focus on their phone. It was completely instinctual.
He smiled at Esme's worry and looked straight ahead "I assure you my darling these people have no interest in our conversation nor would they understand." He said as he led her down the sidewalk briskly. "But, my love, if it makes you feel better we can wait until we get to the car. It's not far from here." He said remembering where he had left his Mercedes on a side road just outside the city. While money wasn't an issue, he disliked paying the highway robbery prices to park inside the city during business hours. He didn't mind walking, it's not like he didn't have time.
