`Death Arrives First Class` *OPEN*

Even though he paid for the first class seating within the plane, the room never seemed to be quite enough. The flight was packed, screaming babies in the back and people coughing all around him. He simple smiled and marveled at the fact that the sickness that would infect at least half of those upon the plane, wouldnt touch him. The food posioning no doubt being served as a meal wouldnt effect his stomach, the crying children wouldnt press his mind. Nothing. Untouchable by the common problems of man. Looking to his left, he couldnt help but notice the small girl sitting beside her mother, the coloring book all but abandoned within her lap as she watched him.
A thin smile danced over his lips, leaning forward and turning so he was close to the young one.
"Welches schönes kleines Mädchen Sie ist" His voice purred, watching the smile on her face grow as he spoke to her. Just as the little girl was about to speak, her mother turned and quickly pulled her closer, whispering a apology to the older man and scolding the girl.
He couldnt help but chuckle, raising his hand as he spoke.
"Keine Bedürfnis-Frau, ich war meerly Erzählen Ihres Kindes gerade, wie schön sie, und gerade ist, wie entzückend sie .... schaut, der sich wundert, wie gut sie schmecken würde.."He smiled as she just nodded, knowing very clear that she couldnt understand a word he was saying. For the better perhapse.
Drawing back into his own seat, he glanced out the window as the ground crept closer and closer. Recalling what brought him to this place, a simple lunch, and a enthralling conversation. A coven who feasted upon animals, not humans. This had to be witnessed by his own eyes, and very soon would be. The Cullens had a uninvited guest arriving to there doorstep, but certainly such hospitality would be given.

His time in Washington was slow passing, like his time in every place that he had been. He couldn't remember when 'time flew by' , but now it just crawled along at a deathly pace. Hunting had been scarce, it seemed that people in the smaller towns were less trusting then those in the big city. Funny that thought, in a big city your more likely to get mugged every day. Here the worse that happened that he heard of was people hitting deer with there cars. Oh the horror.
The lack of homeless also meant that his vending machine of snacks had run dry. He had found a older woman living in a make-shift shack in the woods, and disposed of her quickly. He never liked the taste of old blood, happened to taste just like older people smelled...rotting. The town of Forks had little to offer, and with the obscene amount of vampires roaming, it was too difficult to hunt. The amount of vegetation vampires was growing, and that was only because there backbone kept getting weaker and weaker. Back in his day it was unheard of to eat animals when humans were available. Sure the occasional rat or dog when there was nothing else to eat, but it was never his whole diet. Pathetic.
But thinking of such things now spoiled his meal. A middle aged man was held within his arms, in the 'manly' embrace as his teeth ripped away at his flesh. His thin lips closed over the large wound and he drank quickly. He had found the man leaving a small toy shop, a brown paper bag filled with goodies for his child at home. Its contents were now spilled in front of the store, the bag and the single rose for his wife forgotten. It was such a shame he couldn't call and tell her that he was running late. He couldn't do anything now but whimper, and shake as the last of his life was drained from the large tear within his neck.
Tearing his head away, his tounge ran over his lips as he let the mans body drop without care from his arms.Humans were food and nothing more. Just as a cow was the same to them, sometimes amusing to look at but in the end all a cow was, was just a burger. Some vampires helf respect for there prey, amazed all all they could do and endure. Garetth never talked to those vampires, seeing them as a simple waste of a wonderful life. Taking a red kerchief from his pocket, Garetth dabbed his lips clean before grinning and tucking it back within his jacket. His eyes behind the dark sunglasses burned a brilliant red, satisfied with his first meal of the evening. And with the scent of yet another vampire, and more blood upon the soft wind he knew that his night was just starting...

[Rosalie Hale]

Rosalie walked around Seattle. She had been a vampire long enough to adapt to the sweet, all-too-tempting smell of humans, but she resisted almost all of the time. No, her control was not as up to par as Carlisle's is, but her record was way better than Edward's. She only killed seven people, those of which who had lead her [unknowingly] to this vampiric life that she despised with a passion.

She pranced around Seattle, as if she owned it. Men gawked in her direction and women did too, growing more envious of her appearance with every step Rosalie took. It amused her, really. Sure, she had been used to it from her human life and since her looks enhanced only more within her change to becoming a vampire, the envy and jealous stares only increased...along with her ego. Luckily -and unsurprisingly- it wasn't bright and sunny for the blond vampire. If it had been, then she would have been sparkling; but then again, she wouldn't be out roaming the streets.

Masking her annoyance, Rosalie sensed another vampire somewhere near. She blew it off. She was never one to freak out over another vampire appearing where her coven resided. She knew of the importance and severity of it, especially if they were carnivorous, but Carlisle was always the one who handled that. When she was smacked with the sweet smell of human blood, it was as if reality had taken the wheel. She stopped in her tracks altogether. She may have to take care of this herself. Her other choice was to bring the new vampire to Carlisle for them to work out whatever he normally did to nomads who passed around near, asking if they would so kindly hunt away from Forks-or wherever the Cullen family resided.

There it was again. The sweet smell of a human. It didn't tempt Rosalie as much as it would have to her in her newborn days, but the scent was tempting naturally. She did not find the vampire life extraordinary and astounding as she knew some vampires did. She was forced upon this life without her input [well, how could it have had her input; she was dying for God's sake]. Through impulse, Rosalie walked toward the scent of the vampire. She had no interest in the dying/dead human, the carnivore had probably drained it by now, unable to defy the frenzy that happened when a vampire drained a innocent human from their [most likely] uncompleted life. She didn't get too close, figuring if the other vampire was curious about another one near he would come to her.

Garetth was beyond his times of hiding the bodies that he dropped to the floor like cigarettes. The police were never wise enough to catch onto the fact that it could possibly something that they only saw in the worst nightmares. A simple slice to the victims throat, it would appear as if the victim ‘bled’ out, but there was no blood. Take that CSI. Unlike his own Elders, Garetth has no respect what so ever for his food. He never thanked them, never said a prayer that they would meet the ones that they loved within heaven. And why should he? Did the butcher bless the cow before he cut of its head? Did the farmer ever kiss the lame horse goodbye before shooting it within the skull? No. Food. That’s all the humans were. Elaborate, and sometimes brilliant meals.

Inhaling slowly, he easily caught the scent of another vampire. It lingered within his nostrils as he turned his head and looked behind him with a small grin. It was best not to be at the scene when the shop keeper came out to find the paper bag, its toys spilled out upon the damp pavment, and the dead body not far behind. His steps were slow, smooth. He was just a tourist to the small town, weaving his way within the shops and looking into each window as he passed. His reflection didn’t phase him any longer. The pale skin, the ageing wrinkles, the dark blood red eyes hidden behind darker shades. The fine tailored suits that he wore made him out to be a business man, simply here on a trip before skipping back home to see the wife and kids.

There was no wife. No children. No home. Nothing. Garetth was only called that because it was his given name. On his passports and licenses he used fake names, knowing that even the oldest of blood kept the worst secrets. The small shops soon turned into a beautiful outdoor park, old fashion lamp posts lighting the way along the smooth winding gravel path. Flowerbeds rested to ither side, and the occasional bench. Garetth muttered and sung softly to himself, until he sat down upon the green wooden bench, folding his ankles as he waited for this new vampire to track him down. The blood would lure them, the scent of another vampire ither frighten, or challenge them Part of him yearned for a challenge, it had been so long since he had seen another vampire. Most of them were younger now, not even a hundred years old. Unlike him…he thought he was eternal.

From what Rosalie read in articles about death tolls in nearby cities, she normally could tell whether or not it was a "natural death" or another type of death. She found some of the excuses the journalists used very cliched and overused. Just from her proper manners as a lady [learned from her human life] she simply disposed of the animal carcasses. She found their blood just as filling, though it didn't taste as well - coming from her coven-mates that had had human blood; she was one of the few who never drank human blood. She was proud of it, though.

She continued to walk down the streets, knowing she was closer to the other vampire because of how the scent grew stronger to her sense. She passed by reflective mirrors. Even though it had been nearly a century since her change, her appearance still mesmerized her. She had been beautiful in her human life, and it only become more strong since her transformation. It was [one of] the few things Rosalie liked about her change. She hated becoming a vampire, but she took pride in her appearance. She loved being able to flaunt her look whenever she pleased.

She followed the other vampire, being sure to maintain her distance in order to avoid suspicion. As the scent stopped moving, Rosalie detected it to come to a halt at a nearby park. She knew exactly where it was, so she went there, though coming through to another entrance. She noticed the other vampire sitting on a bench, so she walked over to a swing. She knew she had to be careful, so she wouldn't rip the swing set from its designated spot. She lightly pushed her feet, swinging herself lightly, though what looked normal for humans.

The soft creaking of the metal made the grin upon his lips spread wider, the soft squeaking breaking the silence of the night. It had rained earlier in the afternoon, the wet pavement and grass looking as if it were covered with diamonds. When he was younger, first changed he would have stared at this sight for hours on end, taking in the beauty with his enhanced vision. It was amazing what was walked by every day, without a second glance. The beauty of a rose, the charming and intricate design of a seashell, or the plain and garish industry of man. Everything was taken in, logged to his memory. The sights of the world held nearly no wonder for him now.

Being a Elder, he had breathed every scent, tasted every kind of blood, and seen everything that one could wish too. The pyramids of Egypt, where he stayed with Benjamin and his coven. The ruins of Rome, where he frequently saw the Volturi, his ‘Italian’ family as he blessed them to be. The green grasses of Ireland and the clan that resided there, and the humid forests of the Amazons. Keeping tabs on nearly everyone that was known and to be known in the vampire world. He wasn’t Volturi himself. No. Even they had lost the ways of the old world, some of them being even older then he was. They had forgotten the simple lives of the vampires, getting caught within the human world..with human emotions.

Just like the Cullens. Flashing gold eyes, and a domestic lifestyle. They tried to be what they were not. And within his eyes, it was a sin. Like a dog trying to be a man. Or a fish trying to be a bird. It was against nature. And some parts of nature, shouldn’t ever evolve that way. He had walked the earth, coming across those who claimed ‘the Cullen’ way of life. Pacifist is what most of them were, so they were very easily dealt with. A few placed words, and the gold eyes soon turned back to blood red, just as they should be.

He wondered just how easy it would be to break the Cullens. With a soft laugh, he called over his shoulder, not looking to or moving to see the girl upon the swing. “Arnt Sie ein kleines altes Kind, um zu verstellen, um ein kleines Mädchen noch einmal zu sein?” He asked, the language flowing from his lips like liquid silk.

Rosalie made it seem a little subtle as to scoping out the nearby vampire. From where she was, and with the help of her enhanced eyesight, she could tell his diet by his eyes. As if it weren't obvious at the sudden deaths of innocent humans, she could tell he was one of the many vampires that fed off of humans. She never liked that herself, having to deal with dying humans' screams and whatnot. Though, she did have to sympathize for her siblings, Edward and Jasper. Edward would hear the victims' thoughts while he killed and Jasper to feel how they felt during their death. She did not have any extra, supernatural gift that would allow her to experience through any of that in which some of her siblings had. She had familiarized the scent of vampires, being around them for nearly a century. She knew more scents than that however, having a hybrid niece to whom was imprinted on by a shape-shifter.

Rose knew that she could easily have been distinguished from her eyes, just like the rest of her coven. For they had been one of the very few vampires who did not follow the given path and devoured animal blood in lieu of human. She knew that it was abnormal, for Carlisle had told her that after she awoke from her days of transforming into a vampire. But she had no one else to turn to to learn anything of the vampire lifestyle, regular or irregular.

She knew he was addressing her, for she was the only one left in the park. The other people who might have been there beforehand, but surely they were wise enough to leave. Rosalie did not know the reason as to why they had left [if people were there before] and frankly, she did not care. She knew of the language he was speaking to her, for she had studied it once before. She looked over to him through the corner of her eyes and responded, speaking in the same language, "Vielleicht. Ich bin älter als die meisten, die dieses Gerät verwenden, aber ich kann ehrlich gesagt egal."

Aha, so the youth did understand his words. It was rare to find someone who could speak German fluently, and what a treat it was to find them. But knowing very well that any who would walk by would think this to be a terrorist meeting )ever since that incident in New York, it seemed that everything wrong with the world was blamed on terrorist..( it would be best to speak the native language.
He didn't move however from his seat upon the bench, crossing his left leg over his right and leaning back more upon the wooden bench.

"Not every day one hears words spoken so...beautifuly child. Tell me, did you study in this life...or your other..?" The question would no doubt bring a stirr of emotions to her. It was so easy to get vampire riled up. Just mentioning the life they once had, it ither brought memories of joy long gone..leaving a deep sadness, or memories of terror...and reliving them was simply painful. Garetth loved his past life, and his former life. Everything that he could do, that he had done, was more grand, more spectacular then any who had ever preceded him.

"Tell me, -my- girl...you have nothing better to do with your time and life then follow a old man? Or do I frighten you...?" Even as he spoke English, his words were laced with the heave German accent.

Rosalie's dominant language was English. She had been speaking it since her human life, which seemed to happen forever ago although it had only been almost an entire century. But she learned and picked up languages that she had learned or her 'siblings' had taught her and/or spoke. Rosalie didn't remove her position from her swing. She still sat swinging lightly [for a vampire] on it; it looked normal to the average human.

She had to think of the answer first. She vaguely remembered details from her past life, only bad things that still stuck with her, "I'm almost positive that I learned German in this life. I may have glanced over it briefly as a human, but I do not remember." It was hard to provoke Rosalie about her human life, unless you were mentioning the demented men who practically damned her to the immortal life or what she was unable to have as a vampire, like a child, something she had always dreamed of having.

Rosalie perched an eyebrow up as he said 'my girl'. She did not belong to this man. Nor would she ever. She scoffed, nonetheless. "You wish. Not only do I have a sort of family, but I have more to do than to follow you around mercilessly. It was just pure curiosity." She responded, understanding his thick accent.

Esme dialed Rosalie on her cellphone. She had this mother’s intuition that she was in danger. She’d known Rose had gone to Seattle, Esme was already in the car waiting. She wouldn’t leave until Rose had answered and Esme knew what she was doing, but she just had this feeling that something would happen. She waited for Rosalie to answer, and worried."Rose, answer, please pick up..." Esme whispered to herself.

Rosalie felt her cell phone vibrate in her pocket. She slid her phone out of her pocket and saw that the caller ID read 'Esme'. She bit her lip. She knew Esme would be worried sick if she didn't pick up, but she was in the middle of a conversation with another vampire. Deciding to be a good child for once, she responded to Garetth, "Would you excuse me for a brief moment?" she asked, putting up her pointer finger in a matter for him to pause the conversation. She put the phone to her ear and replied into it, "Esme?"

He chuckled softly, turning his head back to look forward. No doubt it was one of her family members calling, seeing it was near impossible for vampires to make friends. After a while, no matter how good the friendship, what laid below the skin was much richer. Garetth himself kept no company. Covens were just vampires trying to hold onto the old life, what they used to have. Family. Loved ones. Nothing more then weaknesses. Without anyone close, there couldnt be anyone to threaten with, nothing to loose if everything was already lost.

And this wasnt just his current state of thinking. Even when he was a human he didnt keep a wife, or child. Weakness. Thats all that love and compassion was. Made a man soft and vulnerable, and that's something he couldnt ever be. He was sure that the Cullens had the fair share of issues with being so close to eachother. It was impssoible for normal familys to function, never less ones that were so...gifted.

[Esme Anne Cullen]

"Rosalie,"Esme said urgently. "Where are you? What are you doing? ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" Esme asked frantically. She had the gut feeling in her stomach growing and making her paranoid. There was something wrong.

Rosalie ignored Garetth for the time being. She parched an eyebrow, "Esme-Esme, calm down."

[/color] she said; Sure, she was no Jasper, but it was worth a try. "Esme, I'm fine. I'm in the park in Seattle. Why? Is something wrong at home?[/color]

As Rose turned her attention from the stranger to her phone, Garetth took the time to shift, moving faster then he should have been able to. Before her eyes could register the movment, she could feel his hands gently taking the phone from her grip as he lifted it to his own ear.
"She is engaged at the moment...I assure you everything is...alright. She's just meeting a old friend..." And without waiting, he clicked the pink phone shut and gingerly tossed it back to the beauty.

"Still have mummy calling to check up on you? Tell me my girl..when is your curfew so I can have you home before you get grounded by your parents.." His voice was mocking of course, a thin smile over his aged face. Walking around the bench slowly, he soon stood infront of her, his hands smoothing down the front of his tailored suit. "A proper introduction I believe is in order...dear Cullen child.."

In the blink of a human eye Rosalie's phone was no longer in her possession. If she had liked this guy even a single bit [which she didn't] she had not any longer. Her jaw clenched and her gaze hardened. Esme's probably going to freak. out now. She thought to herself. Knowing Esme and what she did when she got worried about one of the family members, she would most likely interrogate Rosalie with unnecessary questions that she would nonchalantly answer with the answer Esme wanted to hear.

Rosalie scoffed quietly as she heard what Garetth had told Esme over the phone. Ha, an old friend? As if. When he tossed the phone to her, she caught it with ease. Maybe it came with the "vampire package" or maybe it came from learning to play baseball as humans do; it didn't particularly matter at the moment. Her jaw loosened as she spoke, "Thanks."

[/color] she replied blankly, glaring at Garetth harder. She doubted from his actions that he was trying to get on the good side of her, and if he was, he was succeeding fairly well.

Rosalie glared at his tone. She never got mocked, and when she did, it really annoyed her. After all, she was Rosalie Hale, incarnation of all beauty. She did not need nor deserved to be mocked. Now to mock someone else, however... She scoffed louder, "I do not have a 'curfew', and I don't get grounded."[/color] she spat and rolled her eyes. This guy was really ticking her off with his smart-alec-ness.as mocking of course, a thin smile over his aged face. She kept her eyes on his expression. "Rosalie."[/color] was all she said as a greeting, never being a huge fan of pleasantries nor meeting new people.[/font][/blockquote][/size]
